Analysis of a thermoregulating façade element
On the 21st of December, at 11:00am, the online lecture Analysis of a thermoregulating façade element, by Jorge Facão, will take place.
The increase in energy consumption and the decrease of natural resources will have a significant impact on the standard of living of future generations. Therefore, the development of alternative energy sources for buildings is a priority. The design of economic and energy efficient solutions capable of dealing with the challenges of temperature variation in winter and summer is an ambitious goal.
In this sense, this lecture will present the analysis of the thermal behaviour of a new façade element integrating nanofluids for volumetric absorption of solar radiation, promoting thermal inertia and environmental comfort of buildings.
